SCRANTON, Pa. – March 31, 2020 – Yesterday, the þø Hazleton Center donated Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including gloves and alcohol wipes, to the Conyngham Care Center in Drums, Pa. to aid in the fight against COVID-19.
“We are so grateful for the protective equipment and sanitizing supplies,” said Jessica DeAngelo, Personal Care Home Administrator for the Conyngham Care Center. “This will enable us to properly protect our residents and staff in these uncertain times.”
The College donated the supplies from their Nurse Aide and Clinical Medical Assistant programs that were not being used as the remaining semester transitioned online due to COVID-19 concerns.
April Harris-Snyder, Director of the þø Hazleton Center said it was an easy decision to donate the supplies.
“Communities must rally behind our medical professionals during this time of crisis. We are glad to be able to donate to the Conyngham Care Center to help protect our most vulnerable,” said Harris-Snyder.
